Just as what I have expected, I’m experiencing the shift of my values. I have to confront the fact bravely that I will make a decicion about my future career during the next year, which is my third year in university. At this the same time next year, I will be a senior, and I must make sure wether I woud prepare for the postgraduate adimission exam or try to hunt for a job. According to my value at this moment, I will probably go on with my study. But the problems remain confused that which city and which university I can choose. Through this trip to Guangzhou, I find my friend’s words are sort of reasonable, that I should leave Wuhan and go to see more about the world outside. It’s really ture that my horizon is rather narrow. Money , prestige and a highly-remunarative job shouldn’t become our sole pesuit, but they are turely important.
Now I’d better write sth about what I have seen and thought tomorrow, or I’m afraid I would forget them easily. Unfortunately, my ability of spelling is becoming worse and worse. What’s more, the Word software here can’t check my spelling mistakes automatically. Thus, maybe their are lots of errors in the follwing part. Of course, I can’t make sure the paragraphs above are perfect.
During the third day in Guangzhou, what impressed me most is the tea. I’v never seen so large scale of tea market. And it seemes that tea is an absolutely necessary part in their life or their dinner. In contrast, in my hometown and many other areas of China, wine is regarded as a spirit or even a type of culture. In one of the tea shops, I get the feeling that selling varies of tea is aslo such a pleasurable job. There are so much knowledge in tea, then surrouned by the scent of the tea leaies and sharing the culture with customers becomes so wonderful!
After travelling around in most part of Guangzhou, I just slightly get familiar with the city and the position I’ve been to. However, the surroundings sitill keep me aware of that this is a vigrous city. The high bridges above the road and varies of cars and trucks flowing from and to all directions tell me that it’s a busy business center. It’s a some kind of bridge between the mainland and Hongkong ,Macco and other cities along the sealine.
With the help of my relatives, I have the access to some people from my hometown, who have already in Guangzhou for more than a decade. Now, some of them have got their own house here and a rather stable job. They are under the protect of the new Labor Law, which is much better put in use than in many other cities, including Wuhan. Some even can speak the accent of Guangdong fluently. They said that they have fallen in love with city, and they have spent the most precious time of their lives here. And some said they can no longer get used to the worse surroundings in hometown. They decide to stay here and continue to work until they have gone to the end of their life. In my contact with them, I vagely get the shadow of the old foreign migrants from China. During the decade, they have not only shared the happniess of this big city, but aslo suffered a lot. They conquered all kinds of difficulties with their hard striving , deligence and intellgence. I would show my respect to them from my inner heart.
